Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY (DOT) STANNARD (nee TWELLS) It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother at the Seven Oaks Hospital on Friday, March 30, 2001 at the age of 79. Dot will be lovingly remembered by her son Wayne, daughter-in-law Linda, granddaughters, Karen and Sharen; daughter Carol of Vancouver (Leonard), granddaughter Marlowe and grandsons, Paul and Wade. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Kay and Doreen; as well as many nieces and nephews. Despite the distance, Dot had a close and loving relationship with her brother Jims family. She was predeceased by her husband Bob, her parents, brother Jim and sister-in-law Peg. In Dots early years, she was an active member of West Kildonan Curling Club and she was also a member of the Womens Auxiliary of Sir Sam Steele Legion. Family and grandchildren were very important to her. She touched our lives in so many ways with her kindness and generosity. In keeping with Dots wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 5 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment and reception to follow, also at Glen Eden. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
